  2. Dear Peter, I'm writing to let you know about a mistake I made with one of your photos. I had seen a dark wren near my house in Orkney and wrote a post asking about it on the Orkney Birding Group Facebook page. To show folk what I meant, I looked online for a photo and found yours. I was so bowled over by it and its likeness to the wren I'd seen, I neglected to check out copyright and posted the photo on the Orkney Birding FB page to illustrate my question. First of all, let me apologise. I really didn't take the time to look at where it had come from. Comments on the FB site got very heated and I've apologised and now taken your photo down. I also posted a link to your - this - blog and someone told me to take that down too. I would be very grateful if you could tell me if it is all right to post a link to your blog on birding and other sites. Having written a blog myself (about reading) I had assumed you would want as many people to view your blog as are interested. My description of the wren on the group page elicited the response from experienced birders that it is unlikely to be a Shetland wren. Mystery not yet solved. Can I just say again how much I like this photo and I'm sorry I posted it without permission. Sincerely, Alison
