Spain 2013

A few record Photographs of a birding trip to Spain in May 2013 covering the Steppes around Zaragoza, the Massifs of Els Ports and the Ebro Delta. A total of 125 species were recorded which included 6 new Western Palearctic species; the target birds being Dupont's Lark, Little Bustard, Purple Swamphen and Gull-billed Tern.

We dipped on Blue Rock Thrush at this reported site. However it was interesting to witness the result of the destruction of the  original town of Belchite  during the Spanish Civil War, mostly by German Stukas.
