A Photographic trip to Romania .
The Photographs below are representative of a trip covering the areas of the Danube Delta, the Lagoons of Eastern Romania and the higher regions of the Machin region.
Static, Mobile and individual netting hides were used as well as a specially converted boat to approach a variety of birds but majoring on water based species.

| This Great Crested Grebe was only one of 51 species photographed. We were normally in postion to start photographing by 5 am and concluded around 7.30 pm with a 3 hour break midday to cool down with a few local beers. A bonus for the trip was 9 additions to the Western Palearctic list. |

Pied-billed Grebe

| A very confiding Pied-billed Grebe at Hollingworth Lakes CP, Greater Manchester. On one occasion it was was only about 12 ft from the small hide; too close for focusing! |
