Nene Washes

Swarming Black-tailed Godwits
Lots of activity at Nene washes with the 2-3000 Black-tailed Godwits constantly swarming like Starlings going to roost with a few starting to display individually. Many Snipe were drumming at the start of Central Drove. Also seen were a single Wheatear, a lone Knot and two Avocets

Bluethroat

After waiting for about 1h we were rewarded with a brief view of this male (cyanecula race) Bluethroat. A Black Redstart was also seen at Winterton church yard
A vist to Martham Pits revealed Cetti's Warbler, four Common Cranes,Snow Goose and Rossi's Goose with a flock of Pink Footed Geese

Burnham Norton was first visited on this trip to Norfolk to see the Rough-legged Buzzard on Scolts Head island. Then on to the shingle ridge at Cley to obtain this record shot of one of three Shore Larks which have recently appeared on the Norfolk coast
