Part two of my Father's day treat, following on from the trip around Bempton Cliffs, was a 3 1/2 hour pelagic trip from Bridlington to an area off Flamborough Head. A fair swell made the day even more memorable. Great, Pomarine, Artic and Long-tailed Skua were seen along with Blue Fulmar, Manx, Sooty and Balearic Shearwaters. Numerous flocks of Pink-footed geese were traveling south, one of which contained a Snow goose, perhaps the one seen later in the day at Holkam marshes. The following were also seen in a species total of 30----Puffin, Red throated diver, Little Turn, Little Gull, Gannet, Black Tern, Shag and Kittiwake. A superb day which included 3 additions to the life list.
